Dear Beautiful Soul,

Thank you for finding your way here to my shop. My name is Liz Lamoreux, and I'm the artist and designer behind Soul Mantras.

I believe that we need traveling companions, from words to necklaces to talismans we slip in our pockets to books, to remind us to be present to the beauty and truth that surround us, so I created the Soul Mantra jewelry collection in 2008 and filled it with pieces to carry with you on your journey. The collection has expanded over the years to include other good things that I hope will be reminders of your intentions, dreams, and prayers as they keep you solid on your path. You can read on to learn more about the story and inspiration behind Soul Mantras.

And may you always remember, dear heart, that you are a light in this world.

The Soul Mantras Story

Sometimes we need a traveling companion to remind us to be present to the beauty and truth that surround us. We need invitations to shine a light on what is real, to heal, to dance inside joy. We need to be gently pushed to tell the true stories and fill the cracks that life creates. We need a reminders to stand tall in our light and sit in the quiet to hear our wisdom.

Each piece of jewelry is handmade with love by Liz and her assistant Bonnie in Liz's little studio in Tacoma, Washington. Each Soul Mantra, whether it includes a word or not, is infused with intention. When you feel the jewelry rest against your skin, notice it on your dresser before you put it on, hear it slide across the chain, see it in your reflection, give yourself permission to bring awareness to your breathing. Inhale and think about the intention or mantra your jewelry carries. Exhale and let whatever you need from the mantra settle over you. Liz hopes that your jewelry will be a companion for you when you need to be reminded you aren't alone in your corner of the world. Each item you buy from Soul Mantras helps give back to make the world a little bit kinder. Learn more here.

Stories & Inspiration

Liz is inspired by poetry, especially Mary Oliver, William Stafford, and David Whyte; the music of Paul Simon, Dolly Parton, and Mumford & Sons; and just about anything written by Anne Lamott. Her walks along Puget Sound and in the woods near her home inspire the colors and gemstones she's drawn to use in her jewelry. She believes that the handmade items we put into the world really do carry love within them and knowing her customers believe that too is a huge source of inspiration for her. From the mantras on the jewelry to the stickers and tattoos that represent meditative practices Liz uses daily, every item in her shop has a story behind it. We hope you enjoy diving into these stories and carrying them with you.
