This quote first came across my path when a chaplain friend of mine introduced me to the idea of walking a labyrinth. Labyrinths are used as a mindfulness and meditation tool and represent the path into the center of yourself and then walking the pathway back out again.
I first walked one about 15 years ago and remember that to stay centered, I literally had to count my steps and my breaths like this, “Inhale. Step. Exhale. Step. Inhale. Step. Exhale. Step.” But when I walked it again, I was able to find a rhythm and sink into noticing my senses as I kept walking.
I’m so glad to have found a necklace that represents this inward journey and practice that can bring you home to yourself.
The labyrinth necklace includes a pendant with a copy of the Chartres labyrinth design. You can actually trace the design while looking at the pendant and invite your mind to settle into the rhythm of the design as though you’re actually walking it. Breathing. Being right here. Finding your way to your center and back out again.
You can find this necklace in the shop right here.
Wow, this necklace sounds like something I truly need and makes sense at this moment in my life.
